Your Cell4Sell offer will be increased if you unlock your iPhone from
the AT&T network. It is free and easy to do so, and it allows your
iPhone to be used through other networks. The majority of AT&T
customers will be eligible to unlock their old phone after they upgrade,
but you should see the entire list of requirements here. To get answers
to some common questions, review our complete carrier unlocking FAQ.

- Visit the AT&T iPhone Unlock website (Business customers should place a call to 1-800-331-0500 in order to finish the process.)
- Choose the checkbox and then the “Agree” button on the bottom of the screen to verify that you have read the requirements.
- Fill out the form with the information for the account hold, then submit it.
- Go the AT&T iPhone Unlock website (AT&T Business Customers call 1-800-331-0500 to complete the process.)
- Select the checkbox and click the "Agree" button at the bottom to confirm you've reviewed the requirements.
- Fill out and submit the form using the account-holders information.
- You will get an email from AT&T within a period of 5 business days, giving you some instructions. Feel free to get the status of your request here.
- After your request has been approved, backup and restore your iPhone with iTunes before you ship it to Cell4Sell.
- If your request is denied, you may have to resubmit it or contact Support for some assistance. (Please note that it can take up to 14 days after you have conducted an upgrade.). If you are not able to unlock the iPhone, we can purchase it at a “locked” offer price.

You have 2 different options by which to get paid:
If you are having difficulties with PayPal, look in your spam folder to see if you got an email sent there instead. Also, check to be sure that your PayPal account is current.
- Check - This is shipped by First Class through USPS, and it can take between 3 to 10 business days for you to get it after our inspection.
- PayPal - This will be sent to your account directly, using your email address which was given during the checkout process. This only takes up to 2 business days for you to receive.

It may take up to 10 business days, or 12 to 14 calendar days, from
when you mailed your used phone before you get your payment. It depends on
where you live, the time of year it is, and the payment method that you
requested.
Once you are notified that inspection is complete on your used phone, the following time-frames can be expected:
Checks may take around 3 to 5 business days to arrive. USPS offered us this time-frame quote. If you have not gotten your check in 14 days since you got your email notification of it being sent, contact Cell4Sell. We will investigate for you.

Then, select the “Track Payment” link in order to see the location of your check. The tracking system only gives you a report of the last location through the USPS, and you will not see a delivery date.
PayPal payments should only take a maximum of 24 hours to arrive. If your funds are not there within this time period, it is most likely that your PayPal account is not verified or that you cannot accept transfers through it. If you have this issue, contact the customer support team at PayPal to resolve it. You also may request to have your payment method or address changed if there still are issues with your PayPal account.
Make sure that you view your spam folder if you do not see it in your regular email folder. If you are not able to find the email, contact us.
Please Note: If you sent in multiple items, note that the payments for each item are issued separately. We try our best to give you a lump sum payment. However, since items move through the process at varying speeds, you might get multiple payments if you had more than a single item in the box.

If you use a shipping label that has been issued from Cell4Sell, there
is an excellent chance that you package will have insurance on it when
it is in transit to our facility.
The following are important to know:
Do not use a DropBox - If your package is not handled directly by someone at the USPS, we cannot insure it against loss. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you do not use a DropBox.
Pack your box with care - We have a great deal of experience with carriers and shipping in general. We have determined that it is best that customers pack used phones with attention to detail and the highest degree of care.
Record the serial number of your device - It is ideal for customers to record any serial numbers of used phones before they are shipped out. You even may want to take pictures for your records. This will be helpful to you if you have to file a loss or damage claim. We will do all that we can to assist you in recovering your used phones, or with filing a claim. Our boxes are extremely durable, so if you follow our advice, your package should be fine.

A iphone should be prepared in the following ways before you send it to Cell4Sell:
- Unlock the iphone through the carrier
- Choose the appropriate type of offer, if you plan on unlocking it or it is already unlocked. more info
- Deactivate service
- Turn off iphone Tracking (also called Samsung Reactivation Lock, Find My iphone, etc.) and remove the password
- This may restrict your iphone, keeping us from doing an inspection. If it is an Apple iphone, select “off” in the iCloud settings menu. If it is a used cell phone, check out the Security settings. more info
- Save your data
- Conduct a backup of your files and photos. Take out the SD card, as well.When we start the inspection process, We also remove personal data.
- Send only your device - if you did not tell us you were sending them on the form, do not send them. We will not be able to pay for any other accessories or items.
- Charge the used cell phone before sending - if it has even just a partial charge, we will be able to process it quicker.
- If you plan to switch from Apple to a different used cell phone, be sure to deactivate iMessage so that you will receive messages to your new iphone.
- Select Settings, then go to Messages and switch the iMessage slider to the “off” position
Cell4Sell is designed for individual users who wish to sell less than
10 items per transaction. You will have to get a separate order for each sell old iphone. We have made this process as easy as possible, to allow you to
receive the maximum value for each of your devices.
If you do have a larger amount of items that you want to sell, we still want to see them! You just have to make separate transactions once you have reached the limit.

However, such iphones often are significantly more expensive.
Please Note: unlock iphone4 is not the same as cleaning out data and passwords from it.
Why should I unlock my iphone if I plan on selling it?
iphones that have been unlocked are more valuable, as they may be sold to customers from anywhere in the world. If we are able to sell the unlock iphone4 at a higher price, the offer you will receive will be higher.

No, you are not. If we receive your unlock iphone4 and it is locked, you will get the “base” price that is offered for locked iphones.

The Find My iPhone feature is activated automatically with iOS7 for the
iPod Touch, iPads, and iPhones. Other people will not be able to
activate the used cell phone. Also, it means that Cell4Sell will not be able to
locate a new owner for this device. Cell4Sell will be unable to offer
the full trade-in value for your devices that have Find My iPhone
enabled. The exception is if you were to deactivate the feature in your
iCloud account.
It is possible for us to clear your device, even with this turned on. Here’s how:

- Log into your Apple iCloud account at http://www.icloud.com/#find
- Click on “Devices” on the top, then locate your device that you sent to us. The site will update the location of your devices. The one that you sent to Cell4Sell then should show as being offline. Select the device, go to your iPhone list, and hit the “X” button in order to take it off of your account. Note that the iPhone should be powered off at the time.
- Confirm by clicking “remove” on the next screen.
- If you got an email from us requesting that you completed these steps, respond to the email and state that you’ve taken it off of your account. We then will continue the process.
Please Note: If you are in possession of your iPhone, you will be able to turn off the Find My iPhone feature directly from the “Settings” menu. If you are unable to take it off of your iCloud account, please reach out to us for assistance.
The Find My iPhone feature for the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad helps
you to find your device if it has been lost. There is an option to block
activation on the used phones. For this reason, Cell4Sell does not offer the
full trade-in value for any devices that have Find My iPhone enabled on
them.

- If it currently enabled, switch the slider to the OFF position

No, Cell4Sell will not purchase any used cell phone that have been reported as being stolen or lost.
We go through CheckMEND, which is a state-of-the-art tool with information from law enforcement, carriers and insurance companies in order to find out whether a used cell phone has been reported stolen or lost.
This innovative tool was created to help detect possibly stolen used cell phone with more accuracy. It was designed by Recipero, which is the largest consumer used cell phone background reporting service in the United States. This tool gathers data from the law enforcement, insurance companies and major wireless carriers throughout the US to offer a full database of stolen or lost used cell phone. We will always submit to helping law enforcement with the investigation of stolen used cell phone. We make a record of each device’s electronic serial number, to allow us to have a trail for items that come up under inquiry.used cell phones that come to us all undergo a data wipe process, regardless of their status. Our process requires that our customers confirm that the used cell phone they offer as a trade-in is their own to sell, and that it has not been reported as being stolen or lost. We like to remind our customers regularly during the process that we will not accept any used cell phone that are reported as stolen or lost.
When you sell a used cell phone to Cell4Sell, you should have it charged fully since the inspection process will be faster this way. You will not need to send anything else.
Please note: If you send any accessories (such as charger or earbuds), know that most of the time they cannot be returned to you. As a sanitary measure, we throw them out or recycle them before inspection.
Cell4Sell does not accept used cell phones for sale that have been locked to a specific service provider, besides the following carriers:

Sprint
T-Mobile
Verizon
