Your Cell4Sell offer will be increased if you unlock your iPhone from

iPhone to be used through other networks. The majority of AT&T
customers will be eligible to unlock their old phone after they upgrade,
but you should see the entire list of requirements here. To get answers

- Visit the AT&T iPhone Unlock website (Business customers should place a call to 1-800-331-0500 in order to finish the process.)
- Choose the checkbox and then the “Agree” button on the bottom of the screen to verify that you have read the requirements.
- Fill out the form with the information for the account hold, then submit it.
- Go the AT&T iPhone Unlock website (AT&T Business Customers call 1-800-331-0500 to complete the process.)
- Select the checkbox and click the "Agree" button at the bottom to confirm you've reviewed the requirements.
- Fill out and submit the form using the account-holders information.
- You will get an email from AT&T within a period of 5 business days, giving you some instructions. Feel free to get the status of your request here.
- After your request has been approved, backup and restore your iPhone with iTunes before you ship it to Cell4Sell.
- If your request is denied, you may have to resubmit it or contact Support for some assistance. (Please note that it can take up to 14 days after you have conducted an upgrade.). If you are not able to unlock the iPhone, we can purchase it at a “locked” offer price.
Yes, remove your SIM card prior to sending in your iphone.
A SIM card has information that provides a unique identification on the cellular network. You will effectively be protecting service-subscriber key by removing the card. Then, your iphone will be free for resale within the second-hand market. The SIM card often is found under the battery, and it may be ejected with ease.
Finding and removing your SIM card
iPad and iphone SIM cards are a bit tricky to remove. With an iphone 2G, 3G, or 3Gs, the card tray will be located at the top edge of the casing, in the middle of the power button and headphone jack. If your used phone is either the iphone 4 or 4S, or an Android phone, the tray will be located at the right edge of the casing. Place a SIM card removal tool gently into the hole in the card tray. You also can use a straightened paperclip. After the catch releases, the tray should eject from the body of the Android phone. Remove your SIM and reinsert the tray, making sure that it is secure and flush with the casing.

If your used cell phone is an iPhone 2G, 3G, or 3Gs, find the SIM card tray that

A iphone should be prepared in the following ways before you send it to Cell4Sell:
- Unlock the iphone through the carrier
- Choose the appropriate type of offer, if you plan on unlocking it or it is already unlocked. more info
- Deactivate service
- Turn off iphone Tracking (also called Samsung Reactivation Lock, Find My iphone, etc.) and remove the password
- This may restrict your iphone, keeping us from doing an inspection. If it is an Apple iphone, select “off” in the iCloud settings menu. If it is a used cell phone, check out the Security settings. more info
- Save your data
- Conduct a backup of your files and photos. Take out the SD card, as well.When we start the inspection process, We also remove personal data.
- Send only your device - if you did not tell us you were sending them on the form, do not send them. We will not be able to pay for any other accessories or items.
- Charge the used cell phone before sending - if it has even just a partial charge, we will be able to process it quicker.
- If you plan to switch from Apple to a different used cell phone, be sure to deactivate iMessage so that you will receive messages to your new iphone.
- Select Settings, then go to Messages and switch the iMessage slider to the “off” position
There are some cases in which there will be problems when moving from
using an Apple unlock iphone4 to a different type of iphones. This is because of
the way that Apple iMessage is set up.

AT&T must unlock your iphone in order for this to work. In certain rare instances, iphones can be “factory unlocked”. This means that they were designed with no restrictions on them. However, such iphones often are significantly more expensive.
Please Note: unlock iphone4 is not the same as cleaning out data and passwords from it.
Why should I unlock my iphone if I plan on selling it?
iphones that have been unlocked are more valuable, as they may be sold to customers from anywhere in the world. If we are able to sell the unlock iphone4 at a higher price, the offer you will receive will be higher.
Am I required to unlock my iphone before I send it to Cell4Sell?
No, you are not. If we receive your unlock iphone4 and it is locked, you will get the “base” price that is offered for locked iphones.

payment. PayPal is the fastest means of payment. If you request a check,

The Find My iPhone feature is activated automatically with iOS7 for the
iPod Touch, iPads, and iPhones. Other people will not be able to
activate the used cell phone. Also, it means that Cell4Sell will not be able to
locate a new owner for this device. Cell4Sell will be unable to offer
the full trade-in value for your devices that have Find My iPhone
enabled. The exception is if you were to deactivate the feature in your
iCloud account.
It is possible for us to clear your device, even with this turned on. Here’s how:

- Log into your Apple iCloud account at http://www.icloud.com/#find
- Click on “Devices” on the top, then locate your device that you sent to us. The site will update the location of your devices. The one that you sent to Cell4Sell then should show as being offline. Select the device, go to your iPhone list, and hit the “X” button in order to take it off of your account. Note that the iPhone should be powered off at the time.
- Confirm by clicking “remove” on the next screen.
- If you got an email from us requesting that you completed these steps, respond to the email and state that you’ve taken it off of your account. We then will continue the process.

The Find My iPhone feature for the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad helps
you to find your device if it has been lost. There is an option to block
activation on the used phones. For this reason, Cell4Sell does not offer the
full trade-in value for any devices that have Find My iPhone enabled on
them.

We make it a point to not buy any used cell phone that have been reported stolen or lost at the time of the transaction. We always attempt to identify owners of stolen or lost devices that we come across. If your own used phones potentially has been stolen or is lost, be sure that you report it to your local police and/or service provider. That way, they can make sure that it is not activated by a new user.
The majority of used cell phones for sale may be locked remotely, as well as erased. This will help to keep your information secure. You even can place a message on the phone’s lock screen with your contact number in case someone locates your used phones, in many cases.
In the case of iPhones, you will be able to go through the Find My iPhone feature if you have it enabled. This tool allows you to lock the phone and include a phone number on the screen.
When we get an item that is locked and includes contact information, we contact the owner to initiate a return of the item. For your protection, we will ask for information that will verify you are the actual owner. After confirmation that you are the owner, we will send the item to you free of charge.

If the exact model of your item is not included on our website, we are not taking them. If we receive an item that is not included in the catalog, we cannot honor the price that was quoted. We will send you a counter offer, or ship it back for free if we do not wish to accept the item. We also may seek your confirmation to recycle it in a responsible manner.
The electronic identification numbers are all tied to carriers (such as Verizon, AT&T, etc.). They will to record the status and activity from the device. Before we inspect the iPhone, we will contact the carrier to be sure that any of these identification numbers have been deactivated. If your number is set as “Active”, your offer amount will be reduced. We will not accept the iPhone if it is being listed as a stolen or lost account

Please Note: Devices that are reported “Active”, stolen or lost are under this status due to the carrier notifying us of its status.
ESN - Electronic Serial Number
MEID - Mobile Equipment ID
IMEI - International Mobile Equipment Identity
An ESN and MEID provide a unique identity for a CDMA cellphone. Within the 2005 time-frame, the 32-bit ESN gradually was replaced by the MEID.
An IMEI is a number that is assigned to UMTS, IDEN or GSM cellphones to give them a unique identity.
An ESN, MEID or IMEI can be active for any of these reasons:
- There still is an “Account” account status through the carrier
- There is a balance that is outstanding
- The device it is attached to has been reported stolen or lost
If the number is not cleared for activation, we will contact you by email and hold onto your item for a period of 5 days. You are required to tell us if you plan on clearing the Active account, or if you will Decline or Accept the new offer.
In order to clear “Active” number, you need to get ahold of your wireless service provide to clear up issues that are making it so the ESN is active. Then, will be able to complete the process.
After 5 days have passed, you will receive a new offer value that reflects a “parts only” condition for your phone. If you notify us that you plan on trying to clear your account, you will get an additional 5 days to consider if you want to Accept or Decline the revised offer.
If we do not get notified, we will automatically accept the new offer and put your revised payment through.
Please Note: After you get your payment, we likely will not be able to find your phone to return it.
Helpful Hint - You may need this number as a reference. On many cellphones you can find your ESN, MEID or IMEI by typing in *#06# and your iPhone and the number will appear on your screen.
Verizon phones can now be checked through their "Activate Phone or Device" page. For other carriers you may chose their Chat function on their Customer Service page.
